The world of video is mushrooming, eating up terabits of Internet capacity. Soon, ninety percent of Internet traffic will be video.
The good news is that the Cisco ASR 9000 edge router is ready to help you handle whatever video traffic you throw at it for years to come.
And it's not all brute force. Its advanced and robust on-board systems help you automatically prioritise and deliver video content of the highest quality. Yet it uses power only on demand, to help you develop your green credentials, too.
The Cisco ASR 9000 is the future.

Cisco plans for the future with ASR 9000
As bandwidth-hogging applications such as YouTube, Spotify and the BBC's iPlayer become a more popular way for office workers to spend their lunch break, bona fide business applications that run alongside them, such as CRM or even email apps, are struggling to get the bandwidth they need to operate effectively.
Network giant Cisco estimates that by 2013 video, including TV, video on demand, Internet video and peer-to-peer, will exceed 90% of global consumer traffic online.
Cisco Doubles Density of Industry's Highest-Performance Edge Router
Cisco is introducing a new single-slot 16 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GE) line card, delivering over 100 Gbps, an industry first which is faster than any other forwarding module available. In combination with the Cisco ASR 9000's inherent scalability, the Cisco 10GE line card helps enable the platform to lead the industry in density and scalability. Unlike competitive offerings which are limited up to 50G per slot today, the new Cisco 10GE line card showcases the value of the industry's only system designed for up to 400G-per-slot capability.
