This glass “Cube” in the new Spanish financial centre near Madrid is 21.6 metres high and 30 metres wide. The cube‑shaped bank lobby was designed by architect Alfonso Millanes Mato. Inside, trees up to twelve metres high throw dynamic shadows and provide a pleasant room climate.

The facade has been constructed without any framework structures for the glazing itself. Instead, a so-called "space frame system" is used, which connects the structural glazing facade to a filigree support structure made of steel. The protection of the lobby from the intense Spanish sun is ensured by around 3,500 square metres of ipasol solar control glass.

I've always liked the idea of having monorails instead of roads! Sort of like at a theme park...
It would be eco-friendly, efficient and leave the ground for pedestrians and cyclists.
Oh to live in an ideal world!

I dream to see the day where we ride to office in hydrid (hydrogen+solar) cars, and we work in an office environment which is nature itself enriched by technology. Is the glass "Cube" a precursor that announces that my dream would be fast realized.
