As widely predicted, Marc Fleury, the founder and former CEO of JBoss, has left Red Hat following a break for paternity leave.
Marc was installed as senior vice president and general manager of Red Hat's JBoss division following the acquisition last year, and is leaving "to pursue other personal interests, such as teaching, research in biology, music and his family" according to a Red Hat statement.
A statement from Fleury reads: "I have done what I can to help Red Hat succeed. People need to understand that open source is a tsunami that is transforming the software industry in its wake and its inevitability is now well beyond challenge or the force of individual personality."
There's no comment from Fleury on his own new personal blog as yet, but you can find that here, while this entry from April 2006 might provide some insight as to Fleury's individual personality.
