Novell has announced that it is changing the name of its community Linux project to openSUSE. No, you're not suffering from deja vu, the announcement was previously made here and covered here.
Quite why it took Novell four whole weeks to officially announce the name change, who knows, but it is now officially official.
Other news today that isn't a repeat: open source services firm SpikeSource has signed deals with Centric and Open-Xchange to add CRM and collaboration to its roster respectively.
The company already has relationships with SugarCRM and Drupal for CRM and web content management respectively, and appears to be moving up the software stack, building on its existing Spike Stacks infrastructure software packages and SpikeNet update and support service.
